It is my honor and privilege to serve as your President for the 2025–2026 year. My name is Nicole Gwizdala, and I have had the opportunity to work in higher education for more than 23 years at Delta College. Throughout my career, I have been continually inspired by the people, the mission, and the meaningful work we do together in service of our students and communities.

This year’s conference theme is Connections—because connection is at the heart of everything we do. Whether it’s connecting with colleagues, building relationships with our business partners, or strengthening the networks that support our institutions, these connections truly matter. They shape our professional growth, open new opportunities, and enrich our personal lives.

When we take the time to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another, we create a stronger community—and that makes a real difference. My hope is that during this conference, you will form new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and leave inspired by the power of connection and the impact it can have on your life and your work.
